T_T WELP!!!

***HERE COMES THE SALT***

Plans kinda fell through for Sakuracon; however, in response to that...I'm going to EVO this year to compete.

USF4 and Guilty Gear Xrd is what I will be infatuated with for the next several months leading up to EVO.

I guess it's still considered a win.

But I am salty as hell right now.

$600 down the drain. T_T (Maybe next year, Sakuracon.)

It didn't take very long, nor was it difficult in the slightest to obtain considering my work history/experience, but this new job is really just something to further increase job security for the future. Another job in finance with better income, benefits, flexibility, and closer to home. I was looking for something more towards the arts and gaming industry, but I can't really argue with the first easy job offer that came my way, especially while I was trying to leave my (now) previous employer. Coincidentally, I have also decided to dedicate a good portion of my free time to competitive gaming. I have already been playing various MOBAs (Heroes of the Storm, LoL, SMITE, etc), but I'm also now joining the competitive fighting games scene/community. With that said, I plan to attend and hopefully compete in this year's EVO as well. Time to train!! :D

+BLAZBLUE+

It's no secret that I've been a BlazBlue fan since it first came over to the US, but I certainly haven't been giving it enough time or appreciation as I've always wanted to, until now.

My first experience with BlazBlue happened when cabinets first started appearing in NA. I was just casually hanging out at a local arcade that happened to receive the game and my friend was really hyping it up. After he told me it was an anime themed fighting game (similar to guilty gear), I gave it a try.

Unlike most other anime fighting games, this "BlazBlue" was quite different. The character design, the story, the controls, etc...there was much about this series that set it apart from other games of the same genre. I quickly fell in love with the game on the first day and have been a fan ever since; however, needless to say, I haven't had a good work/life balance to be able to play the games throughout these many years. I have had the pleasure of watching the anime (BlazBlue: Alter Memory), but that was really it. Fortunately, I finally have the time to play the games, understand the story better, catch up on the series in all it's media forms, and give BlazBlue the attention it's deserved since it first came out.

I feel bad for not staying current with the news or the community, but I am making amends.

Recently, I have grown fond of the competitive scene of BlazBlue as well. There is a tournament at Sakura-Con 2015 this year and I plan on competing as my first BlazBlue tourney. Time to train hard!! :D

P.S. I don't have a favorite character as of yet, but I have been swaying between Valkenhayn, Arakune, and Yūki Terumi.

Sakura-Con 2015

This will be my first convention of the year, and my first time at Sakuracon and Washington/the west coast. I'm excited to finally be able to travel out there,  so for anyone living in Washington or anyone attending the con, I'll probably see you there!! ^_^

It'll be a little different of an experience than usual. Mainly because I plan to focus A LOT more on the artist alley.  I have made it a practice to always check of the AA at every con I go to. I admire the creative talents and amazing work of every artists in AA so I make sure to pay my respects even at the cost of missing out on other con events.

Generally,  I spend most of my convention hours checking out the cosplay, panels,  and (of course)  Karaoke!! :D

It'll be a good break from the work load I've been dealing with lately, so I'm looking forward to it. :)
